In designing your website, the first step to take is to secure a domain name. In other words, you need to ensure you have a plan as regards the address where your website files will be populated which is popularly termed Domain Registration. It is an act of securing a website address which directs people to specific website files via a browser. As an analogy, a domain is an “address” on the Internet.

There are several registrars who sell domain names and hosting accounts either with country-specific extensions (like .io, .in, or .ly) or general extensions as the case may be such as Siteground, Domainking, GoDaddy, iPage etc. I will not go into details as to the registrars rather I will be looking at HOW YOU CAN BUY YOUR DOMAIN NAME and HOSTING PLAN.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REGISTER DOMAIN NAMES AND HOSTING PLAN

Briefly, here are the STEPS to follow in registering your domain names and hosting under the platform of Siteground:

STEP ONE:

Click Here To Go to  SITEGROUND website

STEP TWO:

Click on HOSTING/WEB HOSTING at the top menu

STEP THREE:

Click on GET PLAN BUTTON TO choose the HOSTING PACKAGE you can afford considering also the nature of the website you wish to design.

STEP FOUR:

Enter the Domain Name you wish to register and have hosted under the hosting account being registered. Click on PROCEED to go to the next stage afterwards.

STEP FIVE:

You will see the status of the Domain Name you preferred if it is available or not. Unavailability Status implies someone has gone ahead of you in registering the same Domain Name. Once you select a distinctive Domain Name, the Congratulation message like below will display.

STEP SIX:

Once you are able to secure a name that is available, go ahead to fill the required Registration Form and make your payment accordingly.
